Two ship’s hulls, which float, and lots of fischertechnik building blocks form the ideal basis for a “shipping line” in the kids’ room. You have the choice, you can connect the two hulls to make a big research ship with crane and submarine onboard or construct various smaller boats. Additional components such as a gangplank, buoys and lots more round out the world of a port. Functions, which are true to detail, such as the anchor winch or crane allow play situations, which are close to reality. Of course, the captain isn’t missing either. Several models can be built at the same time.
Ideal additions: Boats, Cranes and Super Cranes

Introduction to the Nikon D300 and D700 vol 2 Advanced Topics

The Nikon D300 and D700 cameras can be overwhelming for new owners regardless of their experience.
With over 50 custom settings, pages of menu options, and configurable buttons on the outside of the camera, new owners may struggle to understand which controls can improve their photography.
In this two hour DVD, Blue Crane Digital distills many of the important settings and provides real world examples and exercises for D300 and D700 owners. In addition, the presentation charts the path of your image from the camera, through post processing to a final print or being viewed on the web.
This DVD is broken down into four sections:
1) explanations of many custom settings and controls
2) acquiring and maintaining the colors you see when you take the photo, including an introduction to color management and dealing with sub-optimal lighting sources
3) an overview, with examples of using Commander Mode and wireless remote speedlights
4) a short discussion of how to store and organize your settings for consistently better results.
This DVD assumes the viewer has a good overall understanding of digital photography and the basic controls on their camera.
The contents of this presentation are a logical extension of the Blue Crane Digital title: Introduction to the Nikon D300. It is intended for intermediate to semi-advanced users.
User Ratings and Reviews
5 Stars Excellent Reference
This is a very good reference video. It covers a range of more advanced topics for the D300/D700 Nikon cameras that is very helpful. The photographer that narrates the video is very good, and explains things very well. Every time I review the video, I pick up another tip or function on the camera that is helpful, or just a good reminder. I would recommend this to anyone that has a D300 or D700 or any other camera that is looking for tips to get into more advanced shooting techniques.
5 Stars If you hate reading manuals
I will admit that over the years, I have read a manual or two. Usually in desperation and one step away from a service call. Very few manuals give you any real inspirational ideas or tricks, they just give you facts. If you are one of the few who can assemble facts into a workable and useful understanding of the …well, you get the point. The Advanced Topics DVD does all that and a little more. It show the depth of the operations and flexible functionality of the D300 in a way that is clear and sensible. I doubt that I would have found all the settings or understood what an amazing array of features are available in theses cameras. If you are new to digital photography (or in my case, manualphobic) This is a great addition to your “library”.
4 Stars Nikon D300 Tutorial DVD
The is the second tutorial DVD on the D300. It is excellent, as was the first. Not only does it explain, clearly and simply, how to use the very sophisticated and complex features of the Nikon D300 camera, it also explains and illustrates many topics of general interest to digital photographers, such as White Balance. Well worth the price.
5 Stars Outstanding Blue Crane Nikon Video
This video picks up where Volumn 1 left off. The advanced topics are discussed clearly and different shooting scenarios are given with the best settings to achieve professional results. Highly recommend Vol. 1 & 2 as fantastic tutorials on the Nikon D-300 set-up, menu navigation and photographic skills.
4 Stars Advance D300 & 700
this is the Vol. two of the D300 video manual and more advance shooting techniques like the first video very informative and it complements the first volume a must if you have Vol. one
